Just a question,
Is there a reason I was unable to scan either automatically or single transponder manual on Astra 28, channels Freesat Info on 11426000 H, or the BBC red button channels on 12441000 V.
To get them working I had to add manually and enter all details.

That is weird... I am just posting exactly the same on team forum. I know why (user defined service type) so hopefully we can get this sorted quite easily.

Is it just the BBC-i channels you are missing?

Freesat Info on 11426000 H as well, I did try the other options on the scan, shows signal strength but no channels found.

    Hi Nigel_K

Please post your TV Server logs for the scan so that we can see what needs to be done to ensure that those channels are picked up...

Do you really want that channel ;) That is the only thing that is not text on that transponder but looks to be audio only??

mm1352000 logs are a problem as I'm using a dongle on a campsite with very low connectivity, eg can only just post.

jameson_uk, Freesat info is where all the epg is available.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful with logs, that was why I asked the question, to ensure you were aware.

Ahh yeah forgot about that.... Stopped using OTA EPGs a while ago

MM service type is shown as 12 - Data Broadcast in the SDT when I just had a quick check now

    No worries Nigel_K

Adding channels with service type 12 is possibly going to be a problem. That service type can be used for all sorts of data formats (here it is used for MHEG5 EPG, but also for firmware updates and broadcaster private data). We might be able to add them as disabled channels, however they would still clutter up channel lists. I'm not sure if the team would agree to it...

IIRC that is only channel you can get DVB EPG data for Freesat channels? (Previously you had Brit shorts but that is defunct now?).

Can someone confirm the freesat epg details as if this is broken it will upset a lot of uk users.

I know nothing about service types, etc. I also take your point regarding cluttering the channel list, I just checked mine and there are no Unknowns in there.

I am quite happy to add them manually as I have this time, now I'm aware of the teams decision.

Perhaps the team could agree to be consistent though, by not scanning the following automatically

EPG Background audio on 11778000 V

    T7 STRM-0
    T7 STRM-1 on 11954000 H

as this just added to my confusion.
