Synopsis::

I have installed the TV card and the latest card driver from ASUS www. I haven't installed Cyberlink PowerCinema also supplied with the card.

ERROR:"Cannot create graph" in MP setup and MP for both - analog and dvb receiver. Revisions match - rev_d0

When I try to create graph with GraphEdit, I cannot connect PIN from Microsoft DVBT Network Provider to 713x BDA DVBT Tuner - it says:These filters cannot agree on a connection.Verify....blabla

I tried to modify the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml (analog part) according to posts in this forum, but without success. Still "cannot create graph".

I don't have the original Cyberlink PowerCinema to check if the card works at all, maybe it's deffective? Is there any other software to test if this card works? I wanted to download PowerCinema first, but they say, that the demo version does not have tuner support. :(

It seems to me that the Philips IC on the card is quite hot :evil: Can someone with this card "measure with a finger" the Philips IC temp on working card? It is so hot that I can leave the finger on it for max 2 seconds :evil:.

Where could be the mistake?Please help.

Well at least the analogue part works.

I have installed the Cyberlink Encoder, which was missing. Then it stopped to report "Unable to create graph".

I am able to autotune stations, but do not see the picture/sound. When I start MP, no error is reported, but the video box is black,no sound is heard.TV On switch is off and I'm unable to switch it on.

I have tested the analogue part in Virtual Dub Capture, and there the TV picture is OK, so the card should be OK.

here is the setup I use:
<capturecard commercialname="Asus My Cinema-P7131 Dual (Analogue)" capturename="713x BDA Analog Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_48621043&rev_d0">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="true" mpeg2="true" mce="true" sw="false" bda="false"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="mux" video="" audio="" mpeg2="0"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="tvtuner" name="713x BDA Analog Tv Tuner" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="tvaudio" name="713x BDA Analog TV Audio" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="crossbar" name="713x BDA Analog Xbar" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="713x BDA Analog Capture" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="videncoder" name="Cyberlink MPEG Video Encoder" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="audencoder" name="Cyberlink Audio Encoder" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="mux" name="Cyberlink MPEG Muxer" checkdevice="false"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="tvtuner" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="crossbar" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tvtuner" sourcepin="1" sinkfilter="tvaudio" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tvaudio" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="crossbar" sinkpin="3"/>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="1" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="1"/>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="videncoder" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="2" sinkfilter="audencoder" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="videncoder" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="audencoder" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="1"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

In MP log I see this:
20.6.2006 19:10:46 crossbar routing done

20.6.2006 19:10:46 mpeg2:FAILED to get IStreamBufferSink interface

Any ideas to get it running?

I've got the asus dual too, and I use only the dvb-t part and is working fine with latest svn (a couple of days ago).
I'm not sure but I think I have the rev d0 too, whit silver remote.

The only problem I have is in configuration, if I want to modify something about the card I have to remove it, readd it, and rescan channels or reassign channels to tuner.

This is my config:

Windows Version: Windows XP Pro SP2 (.net 2.0)

Motherboard Chipset: VIA PT800+ 8237 (ASRock P4VT8+)
Video Card: ATI 9200SE

Video Card Resolution: 720x576
Video Render Type: VMR9 Renderless
Video Codec Type & Version: Mpeg2dec
Audio Codec Type & Version: MPEG/AC3....
TV Card: Technisat SkyStar2 (SS2) 2.6c

I reinstalled back the MP 0.1.3.0 yesterday, and the Analogue part started to work. I'm able to tune in setup, view and record in MP. Didn't tested DVB part yet.

I read in some thread here, that the problem with StreamBufferSink appeared in MP since 0.2 RC2.

DMAN posted a suggestion to install SP2 on SP1 XP's , that it should solve the problem, but since then, there is no reply in the thread, if it was the cause, or not. So it seems, that it's only a WINXP SP1 problem - some outdated dll's probably.

I didn't wanted to install it, because SP2 has bigger memory and cpu requirements and the machine gets slooooooower, but it seems, that or I will have to stay with 0.1.3.0 or install it :?

Asus MyCinema dual no sound and remote all over the place

I couldn't get PowerCinema to scan all the digital channels here in Melbourne australia.
So I installed MediaPortal and got all the channels working v ery well but the remote only works on the up down and sideways buttons and the enter button.

There is no sound either. Picture is great and the dvd player works well too.

I think it is a great program and I am looking forward to ironing out the last few issues.

Can anyone help me please with the remote settings and what I may have wrong in regard to the sound?

thanks
Guy
