ASUS P7131Dual without sound (1 Viewer)

hello, i have asus 7131dual tv card, it sends sound via PCI. other programs can playback sound via it, but i dont know how to solve it in this program...

please help me! i think media portal is very good program!

How did you make it work in Mediaportal, i have just bought a asus p7131 dual card, but mp won't detect tryed i believe alomost everything!!!!

Is it right that when windows detects it and installs it it is as a Asustek Tiger Hybrid Capture device??

yes, it is allright when it detects as asus tiger hybrid device. you should run mediaportal setup icon and scan all channels. does your power cinema works?

if you want just a tv and radio, you can use www.tv-plugin.com for winamp, or k!tv - kastortv. it works great.

i think you should connect an audio cable to your sndcard to run any broadcasted sound in media portal.

also check latest drivers for your card, if somethink goes wrong

Okay, but i can't get it to work. Could you maybe guide me through a full installation of asus p7131 and then mediaportal???

you should install somethink like this MyCinema_13-3-14_32bit.zip, downloaded from the site. than install enclosed powerCinema from cyberlink. everythink is easy and step by step.

i think media portal doesnt support sound for our card.

in other programs try to set sound volume in mixer. but i dont know what to increase.

so use VLC media player and:
file: open capture device
press all two buttons refresh list, set both to 713x BDA...
then press advanced options...
check device properties and tuner properties and set your type of input.
pres ok and ok again. there is one more window after it
on tab video decoder select your standard, then OK
on stream imput tab set your resolution and press OK
set your channel and video standard

ON NEXT WINDOW SET YOUR VOLUME!!!
THIS IS THE TAB WHERE YOU SET VOLUME FOR ALL PROGRAMS USING TV CARD!
if it is too high, it is not clear sound.

on next tab - crossbar set "video tuner in" and "video decoder out"

if it doesnt work, try again to run power cinema.

Hi, I also have an Asus 7131 dual, which worked second time for me
(first time the ebay seller had mistakenly sent me a 7135 card... took me ages to work out why I couldn't get it to tune DVB )

When i downloaded the driver from asus, I couldn't run the included exe so I just used device manager to add the card.
In mediaportal I just leave the sound settings as default.

Not sure if this is any help but at least it should give you hope that it willl work!

on asus site there is an utility to flash card. try to flash it...

I have the same problem, the setup.exe in the driver "Cinema-P7131/P7131Dual Driver v13.3.1.4" doesn't work on my computer. It decompresses some files and then an empty error box comes up with the windows error sound (sounds like "bump"). I installed the card via "add hardware" and then searching and selecting the driver in the manually decompressed zip-file.

Unfortunatly only DVB-t works (DVB-t works fine!), i can't get analogue tv or analog radio to work. Any hints?

Perhaps it is a problem with my german version of windows xp or it is interfering with my compro videomate 200.

i have windows XP SP2 english with slovak mutation added and all updates. it works fine(not in media portal), but we dont have dvb-t signal, so i dont know if it works also for digital tv.

try to download drivers again, or i can send you my driver. just give me your mail.
