ASX video Streams (ZDF mediathek) (1 Viewer)

hi all,

Way back I've made a little plug-in based on the radio plug-in to play video streams from .pls files.
Basically it will display the contents of the .pls file and play the stream.

Everything works with some changes to previous versions. However,
.asx streams don't seem to be played while all the other streams still work.
for some reason once in a while an asx stream will work but it is very inconsistent.

Anybody know how to solve this? and Why there is issues with .asx video streams?

hi,

Solved the issue with installing VLC and flag post filtering for asx v.2 files.
Don't even use vlc as external player but it must have installed some needed codex.
It seems to run fine now. (don't want to step on any VLC soal. Vlc is probably the best media player for gen. purpose use, but MP does just fine as it is with internal player.)
