Ati hd2600 + evr + pdvd 8 (1 Viewer)

Is anyone else having problem with version 8.6-8.8 of the ATI drivers for the HD2600?

With all of these drivers I get a black screen when trying to use MediaPortal in EVR mode. I get one frame then just black, sound continues fine. 8.5 works without any problems.

I'm really keen on getting 8.7 or 8.8 to work in EVR since there are supposed to be some improvements when it comes to deinterlacing of HD(1080i) content with PDVD 8.

Anyone facing similar problems? I've tried Driver Cleaner and similar tools to no avail.

I'm running 8.7 with EVR but with Cyberlink 7 with no problems.
Perhaps only a Cyberlink 8 problem? (Haven't tried ver 8 so I don't know if it would work for me..)

don't know if it is of any help, but I once recognized that some 3D settings in CCC produce a black screen. I'm using VMR9 and XP, though.

I gave 8.7 a second try and it seems to work, 8.8 is still "broken".

The issue I have is that the deinterlacing for Canal+ Film/Sport HD is not working as weel as it should. Really bad horizontal pans

Edit: The reason for switching to PDVD8 was that I couldn't get HDMI audio to work in PDVD7(i.e. DD and DTS pass through)
