    Hallo,

    Danke

Sorry I thought I had added it to the German forum...
BUT since I am here I might as well translate it...

Have used the system up until now with add-in Video Card but the motherboard (Gigabyte Ga-Ma74gm-s2h rev1) has an inbuild ATI HD 2100 GPU which I started to use a few days ago...
problem is that the picture gets jumpy (if that is the right term) on fast or whide pans...
Curently I am using HDpack2.0 and Catalyst 10.3 whith different combinations in the TV part but doesn't seem to make any difference what decoder I pick - I also saw some performance options in Catalyst but not quite sure what they do...

Question is if somebody uses that in-build GPU and what decoder or other options should be set or is that GPU just not powerfull enough (although it has HDMI output which I thought would mean it has enough umph??)

    Thanks

I'm using the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H rev1 with a 3.1GHz Athlon. I found that I needed to increase my shared memory for the GPU in BIOS to 256MB. LIve TV at 1080 res is quite smooth. I'm also using the SAF 4.0 filter pack

    regards,

    Chuck

    Hi,
this has helped (at least a bit) but still could be better... I have set it to 512MB - presume more is better
I tried to install SAF but somehow something must have gone wrong (I tried a few times) and couldn't watch TV at all (black screen) and DivX... Also shouldn't it install the Halli filter or does one not see that in the program group... I thought I had that at some stage before.
One thing I noticed during SAF install was that it listed my old GPU (the one I had taken out to use the on-board) so maybe thats why it somehow didn't work correctly....
Then I tried to install PowerDVD9 and that was ok ish as well but was missing then other codecs for DivX etc
So I rolled back to a backup of the OS
I switched to used EVR and see how that goes ...
I am just surprised that it seems to be borderline although the board has a HDMI output, I thought it should be well capable.
Any other ideas more than welcome.

    Thanks
    Juk
