Synopsis::

up until this version, My ati tv wonder worked fine with media portal.
I don't see what might have changed but I did see "ati tv eonder" in the xml file for capture cards.
The card still works with the ati tv viewer and with the dscaler tv program.

Media portal setup says it can't detect any capture cards???
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Looking through the log file

The following was found in the log file:

9/24/2006 3:45:03 AM device:ATI TV Wonder Capture id:mad:device:pnp:\\?\pci#ven_109e&dev_036e&subsys_00031002&rev_02#4&1c660dd6&0&00f0#{65e8773d-8f56-11d0-a3b9-00a0c9223196}\global

Does this mean the mediaportal did find the card?
If so, why does the setup program report no capture card found?

would it be possible to use the graph program to attach a pin to an mpeg 2 filter and make a working ati tv wonder ve support entry in the XML file?

old version works

The old version of media portal still works just fine.
I understand from the threads that I will have to go through a rather complex (at least for me) process of building some filter and then hand edit the card xml file to be able to recognize this card.
I realize this is probably not completely accurate but it is what I gather from bits and pieces threads.

I still have not made this work with the new media coder. It is probably about time to give up and buy a new card that is supported but I would still like to see support restored for this card as a second tuner.
