ATTENTION: New subforums - Hot skins (1 Viewer)

Well, plugins got it - so why not skins?
To avoid users to have to browse through almost a thousand post looking for answers/patches etc., we have now created the "Hot Skins"-subforum.

I believe all popular skins that not outdated should be here, and have started the post-moving-work. If I have forgot something - like a skin or a resource-thread for a skin, please post in this thread.

The idea behind the HotSkins and HotPlugins Sections simply is that:

• maintained skins/plugins get more attention (all are listed in Skins Forum Section)
• users can find the info they are looking for way easier, since they do not have to read through 16+ pages long threads
• support can be managed easier (seperate thread)
• different versions and modifications can be managed easier (seperate thread)
• users can share their work for the related plugin/skin easier (seperate thread)
• skins are listed on top of the main Skins Forum Section

Unfortunately the link to PureVision shows an empty forum . Could you please correct this?

And how about LCARS (4:3 and Wide)? I know that these skins do not have many DLs (seem to be only a few Trekkies out there...), but are very actual.

I found it myself, and moved it. Are you still working on LCARS?
I am asking because we can't "grant" every skin their own subcategory of obvious reasons. (Same goes for plugins)

Yes, I do. The new LCARS 4:3 will be released soon.

LCARS Wide is very actual. Development continues...

I am going off-topic but I think this issue points to the problem we have in the repository and (1) how we lack the ability to sort (order) by the number of downloads and (2) it seems to be hard to place submissions in the repository and keep them updated.

am i the only one that doesn't like the tons of sub-sub-sub-forums we have around here? makes it pretty hard to see at a glance what has been posted since my last login.
is there some feature of this board like a "summary", where i can add my favourite sub-sub-forums and display all modified threads from those?

edit: hm, the "new posts" thingy at the top seems to be almost what i am looking for. is there some way to customize this menu?
