Hi there,
i have a in my humble opinion very weird problem with MediaPortal.
I began to use MediaPortal some weeks ago, and i've tested various setups with it.
Up until now everything worked fine for me, no bigger problems with tv-recordings
, one small stutterings sometimes, but thats fine for me and i don't make my mind up
about that.
Yesterday i installed my SoundBlaster Augigy Soundcard to my system again, as my
onboard soundcar began to produce strange sound effects like a ground-loop and permanent
buzzing tone evertime the cdrom was in use, sometimes even if the mousewheel was in use.
And now with the new SoundCard i am not able to view my Tv-Recordings anymore.
It says something like e.g. "not able to playback" (a free translation from german "Abspielen nicht möglich")
And afterwards it says "Audio-Codec". The really strange thing about this is, that the onboard-Soundcard
is still enabled but it is just not the standard Direct-Sound-Device. It even got worse as i manually
selected the old onboard-card as AudioRenderer for the Tv-Playback and even Video-Playback it also
shows the Audio-Codec error. ???????

So I decided to go a different way and tested a new TV-Recording with the both cards enabled.
There is no problem while viewing and neither there are any problems while watching them later.
Hm ???
So i started the older Recordings with VLC and MediaPlayer-Classic and in these external-players
they work fine. No codec-error message or any other problems.
Thats were i stand right now, i really don't have a clue whats the problem-
Another thing is that this "Audio-Codec" error appeared in the past on tv-recordings i manually cut
to remove the commercials.
Thanks in advance.
Heres a link that shows the error-window.
*UPDATE:
Maybe i should have mentioned that there is no error log. I have attached my MediaPortal.log, evr.log and TSReader.log
