I am currently using VMR9 rather than EVR.
Alright, after all these weird issues, I finally decided that it was just messed up with all the installs/uninstalls. So I formatted and re-installed everything clean. And my problems are all back. I have searched the forums, but can't find another case of this. I have tried using Graph Edit for a hint, but it looks OK from what I can tell. I am not all that good at interpreting them, though.
Problem 1: WMV files have audio but no video in MP. Playing in Windows Media Player 11 is fine, but in MP I get no picture. If I switch to use EVR in MP Config instead of VMR, then it works in MP. Log file is attached. WMVMediaPortalLog.zip.
Problem 2: If I switch to EVR, my WMVs get both video and audio, but every time I try to skip forward in a Daemon-mounted ISO, MP freezes up and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out. This is log file EVRMediaPortalLog.zip.
Problem 3: MPEG-2 DVD rips (I have only 1, since Kung Fu Hustle refused to rip as an ISO like everything else, it's an MPEG-2 rip) have video but no audio. Again, they play fine in WMP11, but not in MP. Log file is NOT attached, as this is the lesser of my worries. MPGMediaPortalLog.zip. (Don't worry too hard about this problem unless it sounds familiar - I will likely just re-encode to something I can use.)
I have spent many hours installed, re-installing, trying various codecs, researching the forums, but just can't find a solution. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks-
Milhouse
