Almost every time I'm watching TV normally, after a random amount of time the audio begins to stutter&skip and finally if I don't do anything, no sound can be heard at all. If I go to MyTV menu and click TV off and back on, it solves the problem but sometimes this has to be done twice or more to get audio working correctly.

I've tried to configure audio settings in Television like different decoder or audio device but it doesn't solve the problem. I'll try to provide more information if needed, I think the same problem has caused also that some of my recordings have failed totally.

In the configuration section for TV please verify that you have the audio renderer device set up as "default directsound device"...

I already tried setting the audio renderer device to "Default DirectSound device", "SB Audigy 2 ZS" and "DirectSound: SB Audigy 2 ZS" (or something like that) but none of these worked correctly, the problem stayed.

I'll post more logs as soon as I can

    Here are some more logs.

Tonight the whole Mediaportal just hang when watching TV and my computer rebooted automatically. When I started Mediaportal and tried to turn on TV, audio was missing. I restarted Mediaportal but it didn't help. After restart of my computer audio was back, but it still doesn't always go on when I turn TV on, sometimes I have to put the TV on, off and back on twice or more.

Ok, I've managed to solve the problem:

In Capture Card settings for my FireDTV-C I have to DISABLE hardware PID and set card priority to 5, after this the problem is gone.

If hardware PID is enabled and card priority is 10, the stuttering problem occurs.

This also affects the channel scan:

When PID is enabled and card priority is 10, the scan finds only 6-10 channels
When PID is disabled and card priority is 5, the scan finds all the channels it should, almost 100 of them

Is this a MP or capture card related problem? I've sent the report also to FireDTV support forum. I think this is a serious issue to those who don't know what causes this kind of problems.

Edit: I have yet to test if this is caused only because of the PID setting, or only because of the priority, or both.
