Audio Tracks (1 Viewer)

I'm having trouble switching audio tracks in the latest build of MediaPortal. Both audio tracks play in the .AVI file.

I've read that checking in the box for AVI Support in Haali settings will fix this, and it does. But is this the best way to go about this? shoudn't MP have an option in the player itself to handle this?

Nope. MediaPortal use the Haali Media Splitter to (as the name suggests) split the files so it can handle all tracks inside the container (in your case AVI). Without that checkbox enabled it won't be able to handle the audio tracks seperatly.

MediaPortal is nothing else than a frontend, MP itself contains no codecs, afaik..

technically please don't give a shit about what I've said, but basically that's it.
