Synopsis::

When viewing a movie or tv show that was previously downloaded, audio will crackle every once in awhile and then usually after an hour or so the video will either slow in speed or gain in speed and the audio will go in and out and crackle. I didn't have a problem with this until i added a USB hard drive.. but not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. Another possible important note is that i have an integrated sound card as well but that did not support 5.1 surround which i needed.

EDIT: One important thing i forgot to add.. After the problem occurs i shut down MediaPortal and open the file in MediaPlayer Classic and the problems go away. A temporary fix is using the external player function but I like being able to use the built in MediaPortal player

    What happens if you play the file in WMP10/11, do you still get the crackling.

    If it does, this is the built in MP player.

    Stuttering possibly graphics, the only real way of proving is stick a 5200 or 6200 Nvidia DX9 or ATI equivalent in, and see if stutter goes.

    I changed the audio/video decoders to CyberLink for video and ACMFilter for audio and the problem seems to have gone away, or at least hasn't come back yet.
