Is there any way of getting 4:3 TV channels to auto zoom, or is there a plugin available to achieve this?

Pressing S to change it each time doesn't meet the WAF!

    Cheers..

    Hi!

why not set "stretch" as default format (that is if ur using a 16:9 screen)?

    /tompa

I had it set to non-linear stretch as default, but 16:9 programmes looked most odd!

I'll have a look at IFC and see how I get on!

    Thanks for the replies :)

    IFC is perfect, thanks!

How do I keep an audio track? I set audio to English using A key, but then when I restart MP it has lost the audio and I have to select it again..

    Ta!

As far as I know, it is set to English - I'll have to check later, as the kids are watching it now :-p

EDIT : Doh.. There was no preferred language set (I did a reinstall yesterday so probably forgot to set it!)

Set it to English and now all is fine, thanks!!

Hmm.. I have another problem now...

If I select a HD movie channel, the sound track is narrative (English NAR) and if I press A to try to change it, then MP freezes, and I have to reboot the PC..

Any ideas? Everything else seems fine :-(

Yeah, I think ordinary "Stretch" is better for a 16:9 screen...?

Im glad it worked out fine with IFC for you.

Any ideas about the crash (or freeze) when pressing A to change audio track on an HD channel?

I presume I can look in a log or something.. I'm using SAF 5.00 and only installed it today, so it could be the ffdshow audio codec?

And one other thing - IFC takes a while to change screen aspect ratio, and then it does it very smartly but slowly! Can this be changed?

Once these little foibles are ironed out, then I have my "todo" list to work through for the niceties!

    Ta!

IFC's scan intervals and many other options can be adjusted within the config, all options are explained rather well.
As for the crash, I would suspect the audio codec or renderer, I would try others and see if that fixes it, if not, check the logs for a clue, an exception should show right at then end when it crashes.
