autostart an exe with mediaportal (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: xp sp3


im looking for a way to auto start an exe with mp with out using windows start-up or explorer. an example of use is so my remote software starts with mp and shuts down when closed or if i get rid of explorer i can set what i want to run from mp
any help would be great

Hi markcar_2000, I don't know what kind of remote you are using + if that is your (only) problem. Maybe it's not bad to enter your system specs for future use/help and describe more detailed what you want to achieve.

My remote doesn't work outside of MP since I have only installed the driver and no additional software for it.

EDIT: you can start a program with the MultiShortcut plugin, check my signature for it.

i just wanted to be able to lunch any exe. I use a remote as an example. But i got it. Ill right a script with auto hot key and lunch that instead of mp. It will then lunch all the programs i need in the order and when the other programs are done. Im really trying to use mp (now auto hot key) as the shell and tell it what to start and when. So Im not waiting for explorer and avg and what ever windows wants to start first it speeds up the time it takes to get in to mp and with some other mods i don't even see windows at all. Ill let windows start all it wants after mp is done loading and im past the bottle neck

1. Switch off Autostart in MP client.
2. Create a batch.cmd with Mediaportal and your apps
3. Start the batch from autostart of windows

That still needs windows to start first i got it to work with auto hot key
If i did that id just add all the programs to autostart why would i wright batch cmd
