What is the reason that audio and video gets out of sync, and what can be done to prevent this?
Could you be a bit more specific - does this happen when watching live TV, timeshifted TV, recorded TV, DVDs, video files.....or what?

I have never experienced any A/V synch issues, so I am guessing that it is something in your setup.....

I have problems with AV sync also.

After about 1hour of recording the Audio is approximately 1-2sec ahead of video.

I have tried selecting different Audio / Video codecs, but the problem persists.

I haven't noticed any problems when watching live TV or using timeshifting.

Any ideas how to get around this problem?

MP has adjustable audio delay. I don't know whether this works for all video formats, but it certainly works for TS files, and may work for MP4 files. There is a slider that allows you to adjust the audio delay while playing a video. Press the INFO button on the remote control to display the OSD, select the "Audio" icon, and then...

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts? If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes. Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...

Default Direct Sound Device was the problem. MPAR worked better than Dircect Sound, but is still a problem. Changed Audio Renderer to use the TV and it's working.

For me, a clean install of 1.34 x64 TV server only on a fresh Windows 11 Pro device failed because the installation of MySQL in the background never completed, hence no database to connect to. A manual installation of MySQL worked fine, but I didn't know how to prepare MySQL for the TV server database. In the end, I opted for the...

Good. I am pleased that that is now working for you. :) If you have ever looked at MP debug log files, you may have noticed that apparent errors are not rare, but these are "errors" that do not affect the functioning of the product. (It is not desirable to have these errors in the log file, as it misleads users, testers, and...
