AVCHD & CoreAVC = Stuttering (1 Viewer)

I just returned from a trip to India, shot a lot of pictures and also took a Sony HDR-SR10E. It records in AVCHD and I am not able to play back the videos without stuttering (it does play downloaded 1080p movies, so I doubt it's lacking resources). I tried using CoreAVC, DivxHD and FFDshow without any luck. Even tried converting them to MKVs using Divx Converter (720p). Regardless of the codec I use it does play fine in Windows Media Player.

Anyone any ideas how to be able to play these smoothly?

Thanks,
Sander

The videos play fine in Windows 7 Media Center using CoreAVC 2.0, so not a codec issue. Seriously considering moving to Windows Media Center ....

Any news on that?
I have the same issue. Video is 50 fps and the TVs refresh rate is 50Hz....
The videos played nicely in MePo on Windows XPm but after moving to Windows 7 I have this silly stuttering.
What I found is, that MePo uses the codec selected for MPEG2 although it should use the one for H.264, shouldn't it?
