Hi,
I have two S/W TV cards installed on my pc which I want to use to record TV. I realise that S/W cards are not supported by MP but having two S/W TV cards I hope to be able to compensate the fact that a S/W card can't show live TV while recording.
But first things first: I can't get MP to make a proper TV recording. Both TV cards work fine, give a clear live image and can record to any codec. But no matter what codec I use (even using PCM audio and ffdshow's 'uncompressed' setting) the recording stutters every one or two seconds. I know my system is capable of it because any other program can record to AVI and even to MPEG with excellent quality at only 20% CPU usage.
I basically have two questions:
1. What should I do to make a simple AVI recording without the stuttering.
2. If this will work, is it possible to use two S/W cards; one for viewing and one for recording.
Thnx!
