Hello MP

I am curious to whether support for mux avi. Xvid divx ETC. is being implemented in to MP

It’s like the sound channels on a DVD
1 is English
2 is French
And so on

Also some codec’s allows you to put in subs as well like MVK http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA022257/matroska/
As well as *.sub file that is placed in the movie/video folder…

Kind regards Reevs

Hi again thanks for your suggestion but it doesn’t work…
It plays both soundtracks at once…

It’s a OGM file

----------------------------------------------------------
Here are the specs:
----------------------------------------------------------

Type: Video
Codec: XVID
Title: V [Undetermined]
Dimensions: 704x392
Aspect ratio: 1.79:1(16:9)

Type: Audio
Audio: Vorbis
Title: A: [English]
Language: English (United States)

Type: Audio
Audio: Vorbis
Title: A: [Japanese]
Language: Japanese

Type: Subtitle
Codec: SCR/ASCII
Title: S: [English]
Language: English (United States)
----------------------------------------------------------

I know it’s not much help but here they are anyway

I can’t chouse the sound channel or the sub from the menu
And that’s what I want 

Kind Regards Reevs

Are you sure Haali is running. There should be an icon in the tray. Maybe you haven't activated avi in the setup?

Well i'm not seeing a Haali Icon in the tray.
im using K-lite mega codec pack... the only codec related icon i can se in the tray is FFdshow properly from K-lite but im not sure.... should i uninstall K-lite??

and btw can i change the sound and subs from MP ?

It's best to uninstall any codec-packs and go with standard ffdshow, haali and eventually another codec like purevideo or so.

When haali is installed you can change audio tracks from within mp (i don't know about subs cause i don't use them).

    hi

When you use haali and enabled the avi support during installation,
switching audio tracks in avis is no problem, but if i remember correct they are all shown as undetermined.

Switching external subs didn't work for me when using haali, ffdshow and vobsub, but maybe there is a workaround which i did not try. This topic is discussed here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/controlling_subtitles_within_mp_srt_sub_idx-t10182.html

I converted avis with external subs or multiple audio tracks into matroska container format. So all is in one file, and i can set the correct language for each stream which is also shown in MP then.

    regards

Edit: this seems to be a solution for probs with external subs: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showpost.php?p=165100&postcount=120
