    Hi!
Been having a lot of trouble with my previous Ati x1600xt and now i finally got a replacement with a Nvidia 7600GS. Installed everything as usual but got worse image quality then before ( see images).
Have tried using different codecs like xvid and ffdshow but no big difference.
Any nvidia specific settings i could have missed?
Any other suggestions in how to get rid of these artifacts?

    hi there
it's only a guess, but did you check the color depth of your desktop? maybe it's set to 16bit instead of 32bit....
and there are settings in the nvidia video driver too for controlling the video/overlay color correction, perhaps you've got some weired values threre...
i've got a nvidia 6600 via s-video connection also on a thomson 32" tube and everything's looking fine.
    regards

    Hi pStar !
You were right about the color depth, looks better now. haven't changed any settings in the nvidia drivers after install. Will test further if it only was the color that made the image go that bad. Thanks for your input.
