Hi, I'm planning on setting up a wireless network to distribute Live TV from my MP server to some of my neibours.
Would 25Mbs be sufficient for both SD and HD channels?

hello

record the channel and look at the bitrate, and it know your answere

there are hdtv shannel in mpeg2 what can use up to 40mbit/s

but if it s mpeg4 it s mostly under 16mbit/s

and it s only for 1 stream, so if you have other usage of the network no sure if 25mbit/s is ok

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record
