Basichome plugin and Windows 7 (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm trying to get Maya working on Windows 7 with latest MP and I'm using the plugin to create the menu items which seems to work fine but then whan I click 'save' the basichome.xml in the maya folder isn't being updated. Any ideas?

The plugin doesn`t update the basichome.xml. It updates the MayaSkin.xml in your MP config folder.

Ok I can see that now, so how does basichome.xml work then or is that what the plugin does? Just interested to know as I seem to always have problems with the plugin and getting basic home to work my basic home just shows topitem, homeitem, bottomitem etc and not what I set in the plugin.
