The problem comes when using the BLUE3, BLUE3WIDE or other skin wich uses 3D acceleration. These new skins comes from MediaPortal 1.0.

If you did not change your ATI drives before update to MEDIAPORTAL 1.0 or upper version, then your barebone will hang after a few seconds showing the new and pretty interface.

MediaPortal 1.0 or upper version hangs with this barebone because of the ati drivers that comes with barebone CD drivers does not work well from that version of MediaPortal.

BLUE2 or BLUE2WIDE skins wich cames with earlier versions of the Mediaportal and does not use 3D have no problems.

If you change ATI CATALYST drivers with new ones, it works but the picture looks much worse than before. You will feel the difference at once. You will have to spent lot of time time playing with gamma, brightness and contrast controls to obtain a similar image to that observed with the previous drivers and lower MEDIAPORTAL version.

I hope this information may be useful for someone.

Hm... there is a bug with the 690G-chipset and MediaPortal usage of reflection, but this should actually make MP stop responding or crashing (don't remember).
