Before I submit bug reports, could someone please answer the following questions?
1. Is MediaPortal supposed to run in Windows Vista Home Premium (Dutch)? I don't see Vista mentioned in the system requirements and I get so many crashes that I'm not sure if I'm just being silly trying to run it on an unsupported platform
2. How can I kill a process in Vista? In XP you can launch the task manager and then end a not-responding process; in Vista you can do the same except that the process continues running in 90% of the cases; it won't even shut-down when MediaPortal hangs. I don't like to use the power off/power on switch everytime I run MediaPortal, so if there is no other way I'll probably try something else than MediaPortal.
3. Do I have to use the MediaPortalTesttool for bug reports here too? I downloaded and installed it but it seems a bit outdated because it provides an obsolete URL to PsTools. I found a version somewhere but when I do Step 1 (perform actions necessary before testing) I get the error message: "An error occured: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access Denied by System.Diagnostics.Eventlog.Clear() by MPTestTool.PreTestActions.ClearEventLog()" while the Progress window says 'Current action: Clearing Event logs'
Anyway I will already attach the current log files which probably contain some information about the last few crashes.
Oh, watching TV works fine btw, except that so far it only works in post-stamp format.
