Ok, I need some help w/ IR blasting. I currently have blasting to a degree working in Mediaportal, but I'm going to throw a wrench into my setup tonight and I want to make sure I'm ready for it. Currently I have a Hauppauge HD-PVR that has it's IR blaster hooked up to my STB and it is switching channels. (Ex. I pick something in the guide, it changes the channels) I'm using the hacked ServerBlaster plugin w/ Hauppauge support for my current blasting. Now, this is where the questions come in:

    1) I'm using the Thermaltake DH-101 case that has a iMon IR receiver in the front of it and I'd like that to be the only receiver interpreting commands from a remote control (currently not setup, and not exactly sure how to set it up).

    2) I'm adding a Hauppauge HVR-1600 model 1199 to the setup tonight. I'm going to be hooking up both tuners, one to the digital out from the passthrough of the STB for clearQAM and the other to just basic cable (split before the box). This card will not need to use it's IR Blaster, as it will be tuning everything via it's internal tuner.

At this point, what should I use for blasting/receiving? Does IR Server do what I need it to do for this, or is it a combination of plugins? As I haven't setup any remotes as of yet, I've just been using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard for my setup (I started the whole HTPC about 3 weeks ago...see my join date). Anyone have any suggestions/similar setups that they can help guide me with this? Thanks for any help anyone can give!

I am using IRSS for blasting, and it never fail here.
This is the only plugin/app you need.

Not familiarwith the HDPVR, but using standard MCE IR blaster and Hauppauge's ver. that comes with the PVR150 (++) works great.

I second that, IRSS absolutely rocks. It changes channels flawlesly, is fairly simple to setup and is also very flexible.

I am also using a microsoft MCE remote and reciever/blaster.

Does IR Server Suite support Hauppuage Blasting now within TV Server? Last time I looked it didn't and I didn't get any positive signs in a very quick look at the IRSS forum just now.

When I tried it about 2 weeks ago (IRSS) it still didn't support the Hauppauge blaster. I haven't tried upgrading to the latest version yet, but from my understanding, they don't plan on implementing it either. Might just have to upgrade to a MCE blaster / receiver to fix my issues as I still can't get iMon to play nice with MP yet either.

I thought this might be the case - hence the utility of this patch to ServerBlaster for the Hauppauge blaster which I know you are aware of (hopefully working like a charm now too).

I've used iMON without trouble with MP (Silverstone, version 6). I gather there's a large community out there that also use iMON successfully with MiniDisplay too.
