Best multiple tuner setup for MP -> same vendor?? (1 Viewer)

whats the best multiple tuner setup for Mediaportal

i mean if i buy 2x for example Terratec Cinergy XS USB tuners, does it work properly or does the BDA driver don't understand the 2 cards correctly?

in other words, when i want to use a dual tuner setup is it better to use two different vendor tuners?

can somebody share there experience with this?

as for MP...it will try to do everything it can to make it work

as for the tv cards themselves..its a matter for the drivers and their capabilities

u need to find out if multiples of the same card will work from the manufacturer in their OWN software first!....and if they do work all at the same time ...then MP wont have any trouble using them all at the same time

in essence..u could have 10x same card (if u could fit them all in your PC) and all the same type or different types...as long as they are working together at the same time in their own software...then MP will use them all too

thnx for your reply, i gonna e-mail the vendor and ask if multiple tuners are supported by them

I have 2 x dual tuners PCI cards = 4 tuners total
Works fine. I have read on the forum about people having a large mix of tuners.
The cards are the same to reduce my support overhead, I try to standardize as much as possible.
The card I use is dual. It has 2 fully independent video tuners built in whilst only taking up one PCI slot. I chose Analogue + Digital tuners as I receive both signals.
I like PCI as it reduces clutter but I can see other benefits of USB.
