I'm about to light all my computers/cards of fire :D

No luck with MP + P7131 on 2-3 different boxes.

If I'm going to purchase another TV card for MP, which one is know to have the least amount of issues....?

TIA

okay, spent a lot of time trying to find a single card with positive feedback - no luck. seems most simply post errors or complaints... ...not very helpful!

I need a hardware encoding analogue or DVB-T card - someone toss me a bone here!

TIA

    Hi,

personally I can recommend the Hauppauge PVR series for analogue hardware encoding. One PVR 150 and one 350 works here without problems.

For DVB there is always one recommendation: Digital Everywhere's FireDTV series. Digital Everywhere works very close with the MP team to make there cards as stable as possible.

Both solutions are not cheap. But if you buy cheap, you will, buy twice. ;)
My PVR 350 is now more than five years old and still works like a charm.

    Flip.

funny enough, right after I posted I went out and grabbed a PVR 150.

first machine doesn't even boot up with the card installed - which is a bit weird.

trying it in my Server 2003 box right now, i should have better luck given the specs....

    will let you know!

just a little off topic, but looking at your specs in the first post, your on board graphics isn't very powerful and will almost certainly also be causing you issues.

For the other problems you are seeing, have you posted any thing regarding those issues on here?
Most cards *could* have issues, but the odds are that someone here has seen something like that before and can post some help...
