Big problems with "TWINHAN DIGITAL-TV DVB-T TER CI" (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Ive just bought a DIGITAL-TV DVB-T TER CI (3040) for the use i MP, but i ran in to big problems.

After a little "work" ive got MP to find the card, but when ive trye to edit the config by letting MP scan for chans then the whole windows xp computer just freezes, and the only way to go is to reset the computer.

I have tested wiht some other applikations and then i can scan, but not in MP.

I desided for this card after ive read that it was in supported cards..

so have any one some ideas what can be wrong, or do not MP support this card

Now some clearity to my config...some anyway...

My problem is only when ill do the scanning for channels then whole windows just freezes...

jojjal,
You do a scan in MP Setup -> Television -> Capture Cards & "your tuner card name" + Edit?
The one from inside MP gui doesn't work... some logs would help

ronilse: Ive tested both ways...and with same result... Ill check for logs, (im on another computer now..) but ill dont know if there will be any, and that is beccause that not just MP freezes, its windows too....and that is just in the beginning of the scan...So ill daught that MP did write logs in time...But ill look as soon as i can..

Hi,

It seems to be the BDA that is my trubble. When im installing it then windows has a broblem freezing after the restart. But after a while then WIN starts up and MP can identefy the card, but then scanning it freezes again..

But whit the software who comes whit the card i can watch all the cannels.

So there is a problem maby with some hardware ill have installed on may computer.

Its definetly recomended to have a "clean" installation of Windows and recomended patches according to;

Hi,

Thanks for your effort...

I did a clean install of Windows, did the steps you recomended (in your first link)

And now I installed the Dba drivers did discover my card on the spot, and i tought i was "home" but under the MP config i was again on the scanning for channels, and once agin windows froze..hard as nordic winter..

I uninstalled NIC, soundcard and every divice i did not was forced to have right now....but i frooze.....

The strange thing is i can scan channels and watch them via dvbTV (applikation that is bundle with the card...) But not with MP. I tested some other applikations for ie mytheatre and that one could i scan for channels in....and watch..

So ppl what is/could be the difference in hwo these applikations work? and i want to have MP for it seems to be the best out there....

Thans all...

change the hardware and now its up and running...but anoher porblem...

Channels works great, but when im trye to recored some of them, it stops and let me know "unable to connect mpg2 pin"

and from there it is just to reinstall MP allover again.....

If i chose to ad that timeshift starts as standared (in mp setup) then this error msg comes up "unalbe to ad streambuffersink"
