Black Glass Nova Skin 1.4.0 (1 Viewer)

Developed for Mediaportal 1.1.0 final.

The resolution is 1280x720 and scales well to full HD.

Black Glass Nova skin is designed to be easy to use and has a simple and clear look.
It should be controlled primarily with a remote or a keyboard.

BasicHome screen should be used as default home page.

Fanart Handler Plugin recommended.

I installed the skin and ran the 1.4 Basic Home editor, creating my own Basic Home, but MediaPortal just crashes on startup. I never tried running the skin with the default Basic Home (installed with the skin), so I don't know if this is something that's happened from using the editor.

I then tried to select the skin from within MediaPortal, but now no text is visible inside the skin. Perhaps the installer fails to install the font or something? If I try to run MediaPortal after closing it (with Black Nova 1.4.0 now selected) it crashes on startup again.

I tried removing the cache folder, yes. I will try reinstalling as well.

Edit: I think the error/crash is because I used the åäö characters in my Basic Home.

After updating to 1.4.0 the skin doesn't work any longer.
After the loading screen the whole gui disappears and I find the following lines in the error.log:

Do you use äü or any other characters not in English in your Basic Home menu?

Edit: Here's a feature request for the Basic Home Editor: Could you enable the FanArt Handler in addition to the static hover_ pictures? So the user can use a drop down list (like in StreamedMP Basic Home Editor)? And for Music, the "now playing" artist backdrops would be used?

Are you using Mediaportal 1.1.1? If you are using a previous version, it could happen that the font is missing.

Unfortunately nothing to do with basis home editor

I did a clean installtion of the skin on my xp testsystem. mp starts on an close down while starting MP. MP starts and runs with no problem using blue wide skin. did not chekc the logs so far.
