Black screen at Startup (1 Viewer)

Upon startup, Media portal displays a black screen. I can hear sounds when I move the cursor and select items with the Enter key, which makes me think it's just the display and not that the program crashed. I've attached zipped logs. Please let me know if more information is needed.

Hi,
You need a graphic card that has more then 128 mb of memory & supports directx 9.

That would explain it. So I'm stuck with 0.2.2 until I upgrade my video card?

have you done a clean installation?

1. uninstalled old MediaPortal
2. DELETED the MediaPortal folder
3. installed 0.2.3.0 RC2

I've the same problem! - new installation of TV Server and one of the latest SVNs. Ma video card has 256MB RAM. At windows startup (with media portal starting automatically) I get a black screen. - After stopping MP and restarting it manually, I see normal MP screen!

Infinity: Yes, I made sure to try a clean installation before posing this issue.

[Im having the exact same issue with RC2, Im doing an uninstall and reinstall right now, I have a ATI 256mb video card so it should work fine. Ill let u know what happens.

does this happen on a "clean start" of the PC, or on resume from hibernate /standby?

i have never encountered such on a "clean start"

yes - on my HTPC it happens on "clean start"! - at weekend I was playing around with the general settings, but couldn't get any answer, which setting generates this "black screen".
