When resuming from standby, I only get black screen when opening myTV, trying to start/stop doesn't help, only a restart does... looking at the mediaportal log there are alot of errors like this:
2009-09-18 17:10:45.812500 [Warn.][3]: PESDECODER: Buffer is not empty, but new packet is being received!

when I try to open tv server config and use the preview function it works fine.

Attached are the mediaportal.log and tv.log. This used to work fine for me in 1.0.2 with IPTV plugin.

(I posted this originally in a wrong forum, for reference I'm not the only one with this issue - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/bugreports-74/black-screen-when-entering-tv-70710/ )

Please use the MediaPortal Logs collector and fill out the SystemSpecs completelly.

Thanks for replying. I've attached the new logs and edited my system details in my profile, but how do refresh these in my original post?

Once the thread is started, the added systemspecs are just plain text, so you have to edit the post.
this is done intentionally, because if you change your specs tomorrow (new PC) the bugreports and systemspecs stay valid because the info does not change.

Diging throught you logs i noticed:
    • that your mediaportal database(s) are corrupted/broken (seems to be Tv-Series)
      Code:
2009-09-29 17:05:23.562500 [ERROR][MPMain]: SQLiteClient: query returned CORRUPT select value from options where property = 'logoConfig'
    • you use a community skin which i am not sure if it is beta compatible?
    • what is "DRipper.dll" ?

Besides that i did not spot anything obvious.
I am currently trying to get one of our devs to look into the PESDECODER error in your logs.

There is one option in MediaPortal Configuration which will restart MediaPortal after resume. Can you please try than and report back it that helps?
    :D

Thanks for looking into the logs, I've updated my system specs.
    • DRipper.dll is a plug-in for watching danish tv shows (MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - DR.dk tv shows)
    • I'll look into the TV-Series database, had a feeling it was corrupted
    • I'm not 100% sure about the Black Glass skin, but I'm quite sure it's 1.1 Beta compatible.

I'll try the MediaPortal restart option, not sure it'll help though as I'm almost positive this is related to the TVService, but thanks so far ;) I'll report back whether it works or not..

    Regards

    /Christian

Black Glass skin works well with 1.1BETA - although one should always test with default skin. Disabeling all 3.party plugins might also be a good idea.

I'm a bit puzzled, but it looks like the MediaPortal Restart on resume option seemed to work.. I need to do some more comprehensive testing before putting the fixed tag on this.

Although, I'd be happy to know what the PESDECODER error means...

    Can you try and:
    1. dissable the restart option again
    2. send PC into S3
    3. resume from S3
    4. play any*.ts file inside MyVideos

Our developer said that this is related to teletext and can be ignored. Should not be the cause of your issues at all.

OK, just tried the above - the .ts file plays fine, TV doesn't...

Thanks for looking into the PESDECODER error.
