This has been reported by several people in IRC and in the Forums. Once a video has ended it does not go back to where it should. It just gives you a black screen. This also happens when hitting B or Stop on the remote. Most of the time you just need to exit out of MP and start it back up again.

This is about 20 pages of that last line in the logs. The only way I could get out of the black screen is to pull down the Mouse over bar and hit the Home key.

I just think it has a problem re-drawing that screen.

confirmed happening for me also.

it wasn't doing this about 4 or 5 svn builds back... only just started happening in the past few days.

Ditto here, a black screen once media stops. Which is odd too, because I played a video from disc (720P H.264 with 5.1 AC3) and it returned just fine. But anything from a hdd or network share nets me a black screen. But it isnt a crash. Alt-F4 exits cleanly.

I have this too. After video has ended, going one step to the left on the remote and pressing ok, next video plays fine. While playing, if exiting fullscreen MP returns normally and I can stop the video and continue usage.

I have this problem as well with svn of 11-07-2006--15-33. I also got two layers of icons/list in recorded tv, like ASiDiE reports in https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=12463 post #3. I don't know if I have the problem with back to back recordings, but my list of recorded shows looks exactly like the image in the 3rd post just mentioned. I solwe this problem by changing list/icons-view, and I solve the other problem with just pressing menu or guide or ordering any new screen to be drawn.

Could it be that theese problems are related, and perhaps related to the new animations we've got? By the way, they really look nice!

not just "black screen"

with SVN11616 - but when video stops... it is now either going back to the "LiveTV" screen.. or a corrupted EPG screen (which required MP to be closed and reloaded)
