--- INSTALLATION

1: Delete the old "Black & White 1080" skin folder (Remember to take a backup of you backdrops, fanart and other customized files!)
C:\Program FilesTeam MediaPortalMediaPortalskinBlack & White 1080

2: Deleted all files and folders in your cache folder
C:\ProgramDataTeam MediaPortalMediaPortalCache

3: Copy "Black & White 1080" to the skin folder
C:\Program FilesTeam MediaPortalMediaPortalskin

4: Import TVSeries.formatRules in TV Series if you're using this plugin.

Directories might differ from your OS and language.

This skin is made with a 1920x1080 resolution. Rescaling is to other resolution might distort it.

Installing plugins

When installing new plugins it is important that you don't overwrite any of the skin files.

The skin package contains XML files for all supported plugins.

MPIs: Deselect Black & White 1080 in the skin window.
Others: Disregard any instruction telling you to copy files to the “C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Black & White 1080” folder.

Generic skin files will most likely not work since they’re usually made for other resolutions than 1920x1080 which is the “Black & White 1080”s native resolution.

Awsome. Just updated my MP to 1.0 and did not customize my basic home yet, I just had to wait for a new B&W 1080 version ... and here it is!

I've never really used the basic home before, with the old default skins it doesn't make that much sense. So when I installed this skin I was a little disappointed. The old style main menu just didn't look so nice.

But then I looked at the basic home with this skin and it suddenly made sense. After a few xml tweeks I got it doing all the things that I wanted it to.

I have to say that the backgrounds that you have chosen for this skin are lush and vivid. The whole style of the skin is clean and well styled. This skin makes MP, in my opinion, into a much more functional, cutting edge app.

It must have taken a lot of work to create such a high quality skin.



Although I love this skin I think, in my humble opinion, the music sections quality is a little below par compared to the film section and the over all look and feel of the rest of the skin.

Awesome skin - easily my favorite though my projector can't quite handle 1080p....

I have one minor issue though; when watching live tv and returning to basic home the preview in the lower left corner shows the channel-name and beneath that what seems to be for how long I watched that channel - e.g. Blue3 cycles through channel-name, then the name of the show and last the starting and ending times of the show.
Something similar would be very nice if possible
