Also: In BIOS - see if there is a "load GPU BIOS after resuming from (S1/S3?)" (or somthing like it).

I belive this goes for use of S-video or compositt only (CRT TV or LCD/plasma without VGA/DVI/HDMI)

Actually, I too have this issue.

I have an SVN from the last few days and have tried all combinations I can think of with the extra options for "Turn on Monitor", "Force S3" and all the different powerscheduler options.

I run MP to my Plasma via VGA connections, do the previous post about Composite/SVideo doesn't apply.

At the moment my PC suspends to S1 so the fans keep turning and such and I have no issues with return from standby. As soon as I try to use S3 then I get the exact issues explained above.

I couldn't find a re-init GPU option in my BIOS, which is funny because it's one of those options you see in all BIOSes, until you actually need it, then realise that yours doesn't have it.

I have had this problem recently - yesterday morning to be precise. I'm running s-video to the TV. Funny thing, though - I could see the mouse cursor on the tv (moving properly etc), but nothing else. Didn't try actually watching anything, though.

When I used RAdmin to connect to the box from another machine, the HTPC was working perfectly (desktop came up, MP running, etc), so it appears that the onlly problem is that the S-video output isn't turned on again (apart from the mouse cursor being visible..).

I tried using the nVidia tools to redetect the TV and make sure that the s-video output was selected, but nothing changed. I ended up rebooting the HTPC to get everything back again.

I'm running the latest NVidia drivers, and a recent (<1 month old) SVN. (The HTPC is being used at the moment so I can't get the details). The logs will unfortunately have been overwritten by now - MP has been restarted too many times...

I'll see if I can force the problem to recur soon (but not until I've done the tax return(s)!)

I tried one of the last SVNs but it didnt change a bit.

I m also only using the vga port, not the s video...

I also have the problem described by testerBoy.

Nothing but mouse pointer when resuming from standby (s3).

I have to kill the power supply and reboot.

I have my TV (S -video) as primary screen orhterwise pc won't wake up for recordings.

The remote works, you can hear MP "ticking" as the menu options change, but the screen will not turn on again. For me, a reset is the only option.
