Hi I have tried modifying the blank screen screensaver in Media Portal to let it power off/set the monitor in standby instead of just blanking the screen. I find this to be a nice feature since I am using an LCD monitor/screen with MP and since a LCD screen usually is quite fast to go active again (compared to CRTs). It should save power and lifetime of the LCD screen. Although I'm not an expert in programming C# (basically I'm an experienced embedded C programmer) and there seems to be at least one change needed to my source before it is bugless. (it also seems that the Playing Now (music) blankscreen does not use the same piece of code ?) Does anyone find the monitor standby feature usefull instead of using only a blankscreen ? If there already is another way of doing this please let me know! Best wishes, Mads.
