I've just set up MediaPortal 0.2 and gone through the setup and allowed it to scan for available TV channels, and it seemed to properly scan each available channel... but when I go to myTV in MediaPortal, all the stations are black and without sound?
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas on how I can resolve it?
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
- John R.

    Could you run MediaPortal Setup again, scan for channels (Autotune), close MP Setup and post the resulting MediaPotal.log file here as an attachment? That might give us a clue?

    I'm sorry if this is excessive... but this is the contents of MediaPortal.log after starting the setup and doing a channel auto-scan:

    That log file looks OK - it shows several channels were received with signal and I couldn't find any errors.

    Could you now start MediaPortal, go to My TV, select a channel and then wait for about 15 seconds (I assume you will have no video or sound?), then close Mediaportal and post that new MediaPortal.log file here as an attachment?

    Here's the new log file after doing what you said:
    and yes, there is no video or sound when changing channels..

    I was having an odd issue with MP 0.2.0.0, as my PC would go to standby after initially starting up and sitting at the main MP screen for about 3 minutes...
    So I uninstalled MP 0.2 and installed 0.2.1 and the standby issue seems to be gone, and 0.2.1 is still able to scan the channel frequencies, but when I go to view them the same thing happens - a black picture with no sound.. and if I change channels a few times, MP locks up (not always.. but often) and I have to restart the system (did not seem to happen before, using 0.2)
    So, I ran MP0.2.1 and went to My TV, waited for 15+ seconds.. here is the results of the MediaPortal.log..

    I honestly don't really care about running 0.2.1 over 0.2 (although the standby issues were extremely annoying...) but I would love to get the TV working :D

    I have looked through your MediaPortal.log file and there are no obvious errors .. :confused:

    But, if I am reading it correctly, it looks like MediaPortal "hangs" at this line:-

    12/23/2006 1:59:06 PM 640 [Info.] PlaneScene: Crop: top:0, bottom:0, left:0, right:0

    Each time you select a new channel, MP will get to that point and then there are no more entries until you change channel (notice the 50 second gap):-

    12/23/2006 1:59:06 PM 640 [Info.] PlaneScene: Crop: top:0, bottom:0, left:0, right:0
    12/23/2006 2:00:56 PM 953 [Info.] GUITVHome:OnNextChannel()
    12/23/2006 2:00:56 PM 953 [Info.] Navigator:ZapNext 3->4

    So, why is MP hanging at that point?

    Have you been able to play a DVD or a recorded video through MediaPortal?

    Is your Windows XP fully patched with the latest patches (from Windows Update)?

    I notice that you are using Windows MediaPlayer 9 - maybe you should update that to WMP 10?

    Have you tried any other video decoders (like DScaler or any others that you might have already installed)?

    I am just trying to figure out what MediaPortal is trying to do next (after PlaneScene: Crop: top:0, bottom:0, left:0, right:0) that it is hanging at ... :confused:

    I assume that you have NEVER been able to get the TV video and sound to work - correct?
