Hi everyone,

I'm new in the forum and I'm really impressed by what can be done via MP.
I have a question regarding BD ISO playback via moving picture, and I believe this is more related to moving picture than MP.

I've configured moving picture to launch PowerDVD when I choose to play an ISO(mediaportal mounts ISO first). I'm wondering, is it possible to make auto refresh rate changer work for ISO in my case? I know moving picture can actually use internal player to play the main content of an ISO, is it possible that it changes refresh rate before launching PowerDVD?
Thanks a lot!

Rgs,
Mai Sun

    Short answer: YES :)

How did you configure MP to launch PowerDVD? Did you use MovingPictures Advanced settings to set that up like discribed in this tutorial? (Although that's a bit outdated now). In the advance setting you can configure an external player for BluRay and you can also set the value for Refreshrate Changer to 'True' or 'False'. if you set that option to 'True', it would also set your correct refreshrate ;)

Open up MP Config, go to MovingPictures plugin configuration, click tab 'About' press 'Advanced settings' (bottom right), continue and scroll down:

    Hi HomeY,

    Thanks for your help!
You're right, I used the advance settings to set external player which points to powerDVD. I will try the setting you suggested and give my feedback here.

Little tip if you're using PowerDVD10:

Don't link the external player to PowerDVD10.exe but to PowerDVDCinema10.exe which integrates way better since it automatically starts in Fullscreen mode AND has amazing remote control navigation ;)
That .exe can be found in the PowerDVDCinema folder.

    Hi again,

Thank you for your hints, actually I was using that one.
It works also for PowerDVD 9 :)

Hi, I have tried the settings, and now it works great.
One minor issue though, when I insert a blu-ray disc into my BD-ROM drive, it shows the movie in moving picture, but when I play try to play the movie, mediaportal becomes dead, and I have to manually kill the process.

Automatic refresh rate works almost perfect for me - MP starts in 50Hz (using PAL) as usual and when I play a Blu-Ray Moving Pictures starts Arcsoft TMT and changes the refresh rate to 24p. But when I close down TMT and return to MP again the refresh rate is still 24p. I've tried playing a DVD (which should play in 50Hz) but MP is stuck at 24p. I have to reset the refresh rate manually after each Blu-Ray. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I've tried setting PAL as the default setting in the dynamic refresh rate settings in MP general config but it didn't help.
