When I play a divx v4/v5 movie then it is missing the blue color. In windowed mode the video has a very greenish tinge and in fullscreen mode it has blue bars superimposed over the picture. Has anyone else seen this problem? I have tried reinstalling both ffdshow and the mediaportal client however it didnt help.

Im using this ffdshow: ffdshow-rev3128_20091108.zip. However I have also tried the old ffdshow (2004) at source forge and one called ffdshow tryouts.

If I play with the ffdshow video settings while the video is playing then I can see that toggling the blue component of the picture has no affect, however the red and green components can be adjusted.

This problem occurs also when watching TV if I use the ffdshow codec instead of the non-css haupauge ones.

Green video, usually relates to GPU type or the driver, make sure you have the latest BIOS update and drivers for your motherboard.

Also make sure under the BIOS setting, that any video memory is not set to AUTO, but given a definate amount, usually 256mb is enough.

Thanks! It works good now, I installed the SAF codec and then had to reinstall the codec for the Haupage TV card and now everything works beautifully :D

    Cheers
