Border around DVD Video (1 Viewer)

I really like MP and would like to make it my main HTPC frontend, however once I install it I get a nice thick black border around any DVD Playback. This occurs in WMP, MP and any other application I use to perform the playback. The decoder I've tried are the NVidia Pure DVD and Cyberlink PowerDVD 6.

Also, my system is XP x64, so I'm thinking that may be a part of it.

Is this something seen before, or is this some esoteric x64 bug?

how thick a border are we talking , if its quite thick it might be the fact that you have the aspec ratio set to original so you may need to change it to say normal or zoom depending on your tv/monitor and depending on the resolution you are running. so if the aspect ratio fixes it, the shortcut is "S" from memory

Its pretty thick, 4 inches on either sides and 2 on the top and bottom on my 32". The weird thing is that every app does it once mediaportal is installed. If I change the aspect ratio in MP the video just goes blank. It only displays on original.
