Hi, perhaps someone already has put this in mantis or perhaps it's not a bug. But everytime
I press the green start key or any other "direct access" key on the remote a new instance
of "mediaportal" windows will be created instead of simply switching to the appropriate one.

It can be a bit annoying sometimes if one is not used to that behaviour.

thanks, seven

    Hi,
Attach logs for this so we can see what you use & what happens.

Maybe its some 3rd party plugin?

Althou its really weird as MP wont even allow multiple instances of it to be run, it will stop the loading of the process if it sees another instance of MP (mutex actually) when starting up.

hi, sorry for not posting my logs with the opening post; I will see to it tonight. And maybe it's some 3rd party plugin
though I'm only using my TV series (and standard plugins like video and pictures and such). But I'll post the logfiles
tonight. And from your answer I could conclude that my original text might be misleading, since MP does not start
a second time with splash screen and all.

    It's rather a "window/screen stack" problem.

    So let me rephrase:
    1. Start PC and MP (to traybar)
    2. Press remote's green start button, MP comes up
    3. Now navigate to My Weather for instance
    4. Press the "live TV" button (tv will start, if you set it up correctly)
    5. and here comes: pressing the "back" button does not get you the TV menu / view but the weather screen.

Windows get sort of "stacked" over one another, which is -mildly- unexpected when navigating
through the menu tree. and in addition to my other reported bug (frame rate changer) if you have
opened the main menu twice via start button and playback stops (end of video file) instead of seeing
the movie's list you find yourself in main menu (where opening the video link would spawn another
    instance of the video view/list).

    Am I making any sense :) ?

    bye, seven
