    Hi,

Just a quick one. I have confirmed this on two systems now, but with the latest SVN release, the 'Schedules' button is missing from the 'TV home' screen, so it is impossible to see the programs scheduled to record.

    Screenshot added.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

I just checked, and found this

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/621171-post34.html

    so this is by design.

I have to be honest and say that this is not intuitive.

Recorded TV is for recorded TV. Recorded, past tense. To need to go into this screen, and then go to a context menu to access the list of future recordings just seems very wrong to me. Manipulating upcoming recordings, checking that you have set a program to record as such fundamental aspects of using TV on a HTPC that IMO they should be on the main 'My TV' screen.

Hopefully you will reconsider this change.

    Thanks,

    Mark

I think it makes a lot more sense if you have an MCE remote. I was always quite annoyed by some of the options on some screens as I have a guide button and a recorded TV button and can navigate directly to them.

I have recorded TV, scheduled TV, search and EPG all listed as sub-menus under TV (which starts live TV) on basic home screen.

This works well for me but if you use normal home or don't have an MCE remote I can see this being an irritation

Yes, I use normal home, not basichome. It is slightly ironic that for Maya, basichome is actually the more complex, although this is not a criticism. I think the skin is wonderful, but we have to think and comment on useability issues.

You are right. You should comment.
Jameson is right too. My decision to make one screen that contains all recording aspects was indeed based on my use of a harmony one remote. On its touchscreen i have the option to go directly to the recorded tv screen. From there i want all recording aspects controlled. Seems only logical to me. But perhaps its better to offer both.
So consider this issue solved by placing the buttons on both screens.

May i suggest that all Maya users buy Harmony One remote for best results. :D

I would say that having the extra button on TV home is not a problem - there is plenty of space, and it will help some users.

If some people find it convenient to also have this under 'recorded tv' then this is the best of both worlds.

    Cheers,

Or why nor give them out for free to all Maya users? :D

Well, might be a costly operation. I'd personally love to use a Harmony as remote, but, if I'm correct it's IR based and I prefer RF remotes. The only reason for that is that I then can hide all equipment behind closed doors. Right now I'm using one that put me back some $40 which I consider quite OK.

So that was the mandatory off-topic part.

Since I can accept both sides of this idea I find the proposed solution of having the button on both screens fair and I'll vote for that solution.

Sorry, I was short of time this morning. Just bumping the thread up to the top so that it doesn't get forgotten.

In a previous post you suggested that the best solution would be to have the 'Schedules' button on the 'TV Home' and 'Recorded TV' screens. Would it be possible to get this fixed?

    Best wishes,

    Mark
