So i'm building my first HTPC right now, gathering parts and stuff. Right now I am looking for a used TV Tuner, right now I am looking at a ATI TV Wonder HD 600 PCIE (need to find out more what comes with this one) from someone, and a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 (the guy said its the TV Tuner card itself, remote, and IR Blaster...is anything missing?) Which one of these is best and works with MediaPortal?

    what do u need it for? DVB-T DVB-C .... ?

will it be mounted in the client, or in a server? i ask this cause the remote must be plugged to the card, so if its a dedicated server, then the remote is useless.

I have no idea what DVB-T/C means, like I said this is my first HTPC build but the card will be in the case I guess, whats a server supposed to do? Like do the actual processing and the other PC just receives it?

Edit: Oh, DVB-T/C is the European signal standard? Well, I'm in the USA but I still don't know what i'm using, its just basic cable package.

Ok, after some Googling it seems my cable service from Suddenlink uses the ATSC signal format.
