Hi :)

I wonder if (in Mediaportal of course) i can have an icon (button) that when you press it, an application would be executed.
Is this possible??

I think that "Myprograms" has bugs/problems in the 0.2.3 RC1 version....
    Is the above right?
I can not create a filelauncher. Nothing is executed... :(

There is also the EasyApp plugin.
I use that in 0.2.2.0 stable and find it is a lot easier to setup than MyPrograms.

Just point to the program you want to run and select a pic to use as the icon and that's about it.

    Thanks whatisk.

Yes, i checked easyapp with the stable version. It seemed ok, although if you choose to keep the MP window alive, the app isn't executed...

I just was wondering if there is any solution with the "MyPrograms" problems of 0.2.3 RC1 version.

Even though you are looking for a solution to the My Programs issue, what about the MultiShortcut plugin?

I played around with it yesterday as it allows you to easily create shortcuts to new programs on the Home (or My Plugins) menu and it seemed to work well (again on 0.2.2.0 stable).

The thread here talks about it. There are also links in it to newer versions that worked with SVNs. Though maybe the one on the plugins page would work okay?

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin. I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder. I can watch the movies just fine. In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...

It is present, but not with that name. It is called Scheduler, viz: Interesting. I had never noticed that when the "command" is "ACTION", the "cmdproperty" is the actual window id, but it makes sense that it is. Try this for yourself. First backup your working profile for the remote, then in the "Mapping" panel make a change to...

Interesting. :coffee: I always have DVB subtitles enabled in "MP Config", but I actually switch on subtitles only for those films that have deafening sound effects and music, combined with inaudible dialogue. I have never noticed the problem that you have described, but I also use the EVR renderer, and not the Madvr renderer. So...

I am running a Xubuntu machine as a server with all my movies and series on it, I run a VirtualBox VM with Windows 10 installed on the virtual machine and MP1 client installed on that. MP runs fine on the VM but I no longer have a tv tuner to test if passthrough is possible. I don't think it would work anyway.
