I have 5.1 analogue boxes connected to my Realtek ALC889A. When the system goes into suspend I hear a buzzing or zooming sound trough all boxes. It is not MP related I think, as it also happens when I reboot my PC and the system is in DOS modus.

I am just wondering ifv anyone else ever got the same and how to solve it?
:D

When is put my speakers on standby (with the remote for the boxes), the sound disappears.

    hi doornjoostje

Get a similar boom from my creative 7.1, just think its the voltage drop being picked up by the internal amp of the speakers, and never heard of a way of stopping this from happening, besides what you have already found.

    Regards
