I'm working on getting quality control working for all of the hauppauge HW encoding cards. If you could please run the attached program, write a post telling me what card you are using, and post the trace file (in the same directory as the program). Hopefully, we can get this straightened out for everyone

Update: With great pain, I have switched to Unicode, and cleaned up another crash condition. Please try the latest version. It is attempting to change your quality settings. If you experience any problems, just restart your computer and everything will be set to default. Please post the trace file.

what exactly is this trying to achieve ?

and is this relevant to both tvengines ? as i use my hauppauge card in tvengine3 only.

It is for both engines. Currently, quality control works for some people and not others. It also works through two different interfaces. I'm trying to figure out what cards the new interface works with, and why it kind of works for some people and not others. this won't hurt anything, and may help some people.

would be nice to see this improved. The quality control on my PVR 350 does not work since MP 0.2.0.0 anymore.

Does this tool work with dual tuner? (I have 150 / 350)

it should work with whatever card is reported first. If you want to help, could you download graphedit and tell me exactly what the name of your capture filters are? That would help enormously

I have tested with my Hauppauge PVR500MCE with the newest hauppauge drivers, the tracefile is attached.

It crashes !!! But, I'm not even doing anything! Hmmm, are you using a non-english windows?
