i have an old laptop it ha's 200mhz, 72mb ram and 20gig hd,
is it possible to use MP with it im only gona use it to play music.
will it work or shoulde i get a linux alternetive?
okey.. so mediaportal needs win Xp did not know that
i have tryd geexbox but i dont like the layout on it, is there any other alternative or am i stuck with geexbox?
I remember my P3-133 was perfectly able of playback of MP3's, but there are other more CPU intensive formats that wouldn't play (that was around 1997 i think...)
IMO a linux derivative would be your best choice if you need a frontend, but you'll need some more memory to compensate for the lack of cpu power, because if your box starts swapping memory while playback there is no way for a 200MHz laptop to cope

When I went back and looked, it appears to be a DVB tuner driver. You might have to poke around there if this is not what you need.

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.

Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :(
Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions.

MP1 has a separate configuration utility, similar to "TV Server Config". I have tried MP2 only a couple of times, and have never used it seriously. I don't know what MP2 supports with regard to adjusting audio delay, but I do know that all of the adjustments of...
