Can Mediaportal and MS Media Center co-exsist? (1 Viewer)

I'm running a test on my laptop with Windows 7 and RC5 of Mediaportal. I am using USB-UIRT, Firefly remote and Event Ghost to control Media Portal. I have this same setup running on XP SP3 and 1.0.1 of Mediaportal with no problems. I'm using the same xml file for Event Ghost on the test laptop. When I start Mediaportal on the laptop the remote works fine until I start a video then I lose control of Media Portal with the remote. When I close Mediaportal Media Center has started and Event Ghost has stopped. Do I need to remove Media Center or is there a way I can just disable Media Center?

Hi, you can disable it in MP Configuration. If I recall correctly, it is under 3rd party checks.
