Can not tune higher channel numnbers - STB/Hava (1 Viewer)

I've been playing with MediaPortal 1.1.3.0 now for about 2 weeks. I'm stumped on what seems to be a simple problem with tuning channels.

My configuration is Win7 64 bit and I have a Cable STB which connects to MP thru the Monsoon Hava unit. It works fine for all channels but above 150 or so... it can't change these channels.

The channel layout on the Cable box is 1 thru about 150 or so are old former analog channels. then 150 and up are lots of odd channels but include HBO, SHO, etc. Then the HD channels start at 700.

I think I am running into a configuration problem rather than a incapability.

Is there a way to get access to these channels? I've tried everything and nothing lets me send these upper channels ir commands to the STB. Can anyone give me a hint where I am going wrong on this?

Update,

I was given the code change to unlock the channel limit if anyone here has the same problem. It's a simple edit but the code has to be recompiled and this I can't do here.

Well the edit didn't work. The tech guy that found this for me looked at the code and decided it would not actually fix the problem. As far as I know, you still can not tune the Monsoon Hava channel numbers with Media Portal.

FYI, I purchased Snapstream Beyond TV years ago. It also never would change the channels. However I was able to use an EXE tuner program with Beyond TV that changes the channels perfectly. If you should give up here and try the Snapstream beyond TV, search the Monsoon Hava forum and Beyond TV forum for my post. It will tell you how to do it. You might be able to search for this phrase at google BillAggie\\Havafun\\hava_channel_nowin.exe and find the actual instruction.

Forgive me for what is probably a dumb question: how does the Hava interface with MediaPortal (TV Server)? Does it appear as an analog tuner or something?
