The TVE3 is very good but requires the use of a capture card. When the source data is sent via UDP, it doesn't make much sense to have it converted to analog by the STB, and then digitized by the capture card for MP. We can also bypass external set-top box switching since tuning now only requires a change in the source MRL.Cleaner input and faster zapping is all we're talking about here.
