    Hi

    Have got Mediaportal and 4theRecord working really nicely together (and it has done so for couple of years), but recently found one small issue.

    I recently had my dish knocked out of alignment, and in getting it realigned Ive tweaked its angle it a little so that I can (in NZ) get access to the SBS channels from Australia.

    The SBS channels are in a Vertical Polarity, whereas the rest of our NZ Freeview are Horizontal. My Mediaportal setup has 2 cards. I appreciate that in this setup, and my single LNB, that I can only watch in a single polarity at a time ... and channel changing from the NZ Freeview channels then to the SBS ones is fine. Can veiw the SBS channels fine and have good quality on all channels.

    Here is the catch tho'. I cant record anything on the 2 x SBS channels. If I schedule a recording nothing gets recorded and all I get in the logs is a whole of of:
    "Failed to tune to channel SBS1""

    If Im viewing an SBS channel and then click "record" the same happens.

    If I go into the Manual Control section of the Mediaportal server and select the SBS channel and start time shifting then record ... all records fine.

    Initially I thought maybe something on the server was locking the LNB in the Horizonatal during the recordings, but it wouldnt even record while viewing that channel. Then I thought it must be a mediaportal thing, but then the Manual Record worked fine.

    Any ideas? Ive attached log files from Mediaportal for a section where I had the channel viewing and then attempted to dpo a recording.

    Cheers

    Craig

    Ive posted the same message in the 4TR forum in case its something on their side.

    Ive now got the same issue, can view all the SBS channels with no problem but cant record them.

    Id love to now if there is a solution to this so I can record the WC2010 seeing as the games are the middle of the night !

    So try it ;)

    Also for us it would be interesting to know if we need to fix anything in Argus or not.

    Well that failed miserably.
    * Manual didnt seem to have anything about Argus?
    * Satellites.xml didnt have the Optus birds, but I think I got their details OK at satellites.xml generator / transponder .ini generator
    * Got it running, entered in our details for Freeview ... and no Signal was detected when doing a scan.

    Tried
    LOF low: 11300000
    LOF High: 11300000 and 0
    LNBSW: 20000000

    The frequencies we uses are:
    12456000, Symbol 22500, FEC 3/4, Polarity H
    12483000,22500,3/4,H
    12646000,12600,5/6,V

    Will try again later to see if I have any more luck ... but at the moment its back to Mediaportal TV Server for the recording ... cause that works:)

    Do you use special LNB settings for TV server too?

    I'd like to understand why you couldn't scan, and if needed, do the appropriate fix so it works for you :)

    My Mediaportal tuning file is
    Code:
    [SATTYPE]
    1=1600
    2=Optus D1

    [DVB]
    1=12456,H,22500,34,DVB-S
    2=12483,H,22500,34,DVB-S
    4=12646,V,12600,56,DVB-S
    and in Mediaportal just have the "Override default LNB" with
    LOF1: 11700
    LOF2: 0
    LNBSW: 20000

    Ive also included the satelittes.xml which I added to the XML file that existed

    OK, but above you said you tried with:

    LOF low: 11300000
    LOF High: 11300000 and 0
    LNBSW: 20000000
    So, why not 11700000, since you say MP was set to 11700? Probably a typo in your posting, since I guess 11300 MHz is the correct value to use...

    Try with this Satellites.xml:
